Secure and dignified jobs
High-tech greenhouses
Quality education for the next generation
It started with a piece of land – and a vision.
We dared to imagine what could be possible.
We invested in state-of-the-art agricultural technology to grow an efficient, sustainable and high-value company using the land we had been farming for two generations.
In 2010, we built our first hydroponic greenhouse atop former sugarcane fields.
Since then, our operation has expanded to 26 acres of high-tech tomato production.
Our farm yields 11+ million pounds of nutritious and flavorful tomatoes each year. But there’s more…
Growing tomatoes in a high technology setting allows us to drastically reduce water use as compared to field grown tomatoes and provide year-round, dignified employment for our 190 employees. This keeps families whole and gives the next generation access to greater opportunities than their parents had.
At Vista Produce, we are growing a lot more than quality tomatoes.
By investing in our employees and the education of their children, we are strengthening the fabric of our community and positioning our young ones to develop the next wave of innovations in social impact and sustainability—or whichever careers they choose to pursue.
How we grow
We control the growing environment in each of our greenhouses, which allows us to consistently maximize our production of high-quality tomatoes while minimizing our environmental footprint.
Why we grow
We see high-tech, hydroponic agriculture as a critical business model towards combatting several world challenges, from hunger to climate change. We grow to break the cycle of economic migration that splinters families and puts opportunities for development out of reach.
Who we are
We strive to be the best supplier for our customers through investments in agricultural technology and our employees. Our purpose is to create good jobs so that our employees have a dignified life—and to ensure the next generation has access to quality education.
